100 Years of New Frankfurt - The Velotaxi Tour through Bockenheim and the Westend
Discovery tour with a "velotaxi" (cycle rickshaw) for 8 or more persons

Description
Fancy a Velotaxi tour that takes you off the beaten track? Then hop on and discover Frankfurt from a whole new perspective! On this 90-minute tour, you will get to know the districts of Bockenheim and Westend, including three important buildings from the “New Frankfurt” era. The revolutionary urban development project from the 1920s, which had a significant impact on the city's architecture and social housing under Ernst May, celebrates its 100th birthday in 2025.
The starting point is the Bockenheimer Depot. From there, it goes to the Palmengarten, including the Gesellschaftshaus, and on to the Goethe University campus with the I.G. Farben Haus, the largest office building of the Weimar Republic. The route then continues past the Korean Garden, through Grüneburgpark, along the Botanical Gardens to Bockenheim. We roll through the sophisticated diplomatic quarter to our next stop, the Frauenfriedenskirche. With its clear design and impressive mosaics, it is a masterpiece of functional architecture. At the end of the tour, we experience the lively flair of Leipziger Straße with its colorful stores, cafés and hidden backyards.
