Frankfurt has been characterised by Jewish culture and heritage for hundreds and hundreds of years. Up until 1933, the metropolis on the River Main had been home to Germany’s second-largest Jewish community, right behind Berlin. Today, Frankfurt boasts the country’s third-largest Jewish population, with Jewish culture having become as significant as in the old days. There are a number of noteworthy places across the city that typify the deep bond existing between Frankfurt and its Jewish heritage. These locations are of course an integral part of our “Jewish Frankfurt” tour.
