MOMEM - Museum of Modern Electronic Music

PDF

Special Museum
The Museum of Modern Electronic Music is the first museum in the world dedicated entirely to electronic music.
It is located in the city where techno became big in Germany in the nineties - fittingly with an exhibition about the son of the city who stands for all that like no other: the DJ and music producer Sven Väth. The exhibition is curated by another famous son of the city, artist Tobias Rehberger, winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale, among other awards. The two are old nightlife friends, as is Düsseldorf artist Andreas Gursky, whose paintings will also be on display. Among other things, he has photographed one of Sven Väth's former Frankfurt clubs, Cocoon.
