One of Frankfurt's most beautiful weekly markets runs according to its own clock. And it's been around since 1873.
The heart of Bornheim beats around the clock tower on Berger Straße – especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This is when one of the city's most beautiful weekly markets is set up here. In addition to fruit, vegetables, meat and cheese, you can also buy spices and teas, wine and, if you're feeling peckish, bratwurst, crêpes or handmade cheese with music.
And always the right time, as can be seen on the clock tower from 1873. It is the landmark of the district; the four clock faces are now centrally controlled. There's a wooden bench around its base – there's no more relaxing way to watch the hustle and bustle of the market.
