The Bundesjazzorchester, the U24 national jazz team, is coming to Frankfurt. Joy of playing, energy, team spirit, elegance, improvisation and precise playing await you on 3 July from 20:30 at the Fanzone on the Friedensbrücke. The BuJazzO will be accompanied by Tom Gaebel, himself a member of the ensemble from 2000 to 2002. Tom Gaebel is regarded as one of the leading vocalists on the major stages in Germany. Hailed by critics as a musical phenomenon, his fans adore and love him as "Dr Swing".
Excellent diversity and eternal youth are the hallmarks of the Youth Jazz Orchestra of the Federal Republic of Germany. Founded in 1988 by Peter Herbolzheimer, the BuJazzO, as it is affectionately known, is today regarded as an excellent talent factory for future jazz musicians.
Under the musical direction of Ansgar Striepens, a mixture of Tom Gaebel's most popular songs, newly arranged football anthems and big band music for the football festival will be performed, in which the BuJazzO vocal ensemble will also come into its own.
This concert is being organised with the special support of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ).
