Tropical butterflies as colourful ambassadors for the topic of pollination and a show that takes a close look at the big world of insects: In August 2021, just in time for its 150th anniversary, the Palmengarten opened its Flower and Butterfly House, including the new permanent exhibition "Dusted off - by flowers and their visitors".
The Flower and Butterfly House is the centrepiece and starting point of our first key theme of flower and pollinator ecology proclaimed in 2021, and its opening was eagerly awaited by both Palmengarten visitors and the garden team. Now they are fluttering amidst a sea of flowers: our banana, monarch and morpho butterflies. And you can finally see them live.
