The Green Sauce Festival has been taking place since 2008 and is now an integral part of the Rhine-Main region's event calendar.
During the festival week, 49 restaurateurs will compete against each other to create the best green sauce. The "expert jury" is the entire audience, which tastes 7 different green sauces each evening and chooses the evening's winner. All seven evening winners then compete against each other in the grand final and the question of all questions is answered: "Who makes the best?"
The culinary competition is embedded in a first-class cultural programme with show acts from comedy, magic, cabaret and music, presented alternately by Anton Le Goff and Andy Ost. They all celebrate the cult dish together with the audience, Hilde from Bornheim and the unique festival band "Andi und die Gartenzwerge".
The ticket includes free drinks, a tasting of seven green sauces, potatoes, eggs and a first-class show programme.
