Matthias Vogt Trio feat. Maren Kips

The “working band” of Frankfurt-based pianist, DJ and music producer Matthias Vogt. This trio has been playing together for more than twenty years (!) and has developed a common sound and its own musical language during this time. It has never been enough for the band to rely on the tried and tested, but it has been essential to constantly expand their repertoire and their color palette.

What has always remained is the band's lyrical tone. The trio is currently playing a program with their own arrangements of well-known pop songs. They are joined by Mannheim-based singer Maren Kips. Her unpretentious alto voice nestles in the middle of the harmonious soundscapes. The cross-border stylistic diversity of the Cologne-born singer fits perfectly into the world of the three musicians from the Rhine-Main region. Or in a nutshell: Jazz meets pop, with a lot of soul and depth
