You can buy directly from producers at this market on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. And you can do so in a relaxed atmosphere until Friday evening.
Inside the stock exchange, you can trade global stock options, while outside on Fridays you can experience a very local and real market. The Schillermarkt has a dedicated fan base, with more than 40 stalls selling fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and specialties from the region and often even from their own production.
This also means that you can easily strike up a conversation and find out first-hand where your food comes from. Dismantling only takes place at 6:30 pm, so you have the whole day to look, buy and taste directly on site. Many regular customers like to use this time to ring in the weekend with a glass of cider.
