The 17th Summer Academy for Comic Art took place in Kassel from 10 to 16 August 2024, in cooperation with the Caricatura Museum Frankfurt and TITANIC magazine. 20 young illustrators from Germany, Austria and Sweden took part in this unique nationwide project, which is dedicated to the training and further education of talents in the field of comic art.
Illustrator Lotte Wagner and cartoonist Ari Plikat took over the direction in 2024. They were supported by several one-day speakers. During the week-long workshop in the south wing of Kassel's Kultur Bahnhof, cartoons were created based on various tasks. The Caricatura Salon shows a selection of the results of this workshop.
A catalogue of the same name (publisher: Akademie für Komische Kunst) was published to accompany the resulting exhibition in Kassel 2024. Together with the Caricatura Salon booklet #2, it will be available in our shop from 1 February 2025 on the occasion of the exhibition in Frankfurt.

The exhibition is organised in cooperation with the Caricatura Galerie Kassel.
