"Sound Up - Welcome to our Stage" is entering its second round: on May 1, Maël & Jonas and clide will be on stage at Frankfurt's Gibson Club. Every first Thursday of the month, the club's newcomer series offers up-and-coming musicians the opportunity to present themselves and their songs live together with the Urban Club Band.
With Maël & Jonas, the Gibson audience will experience a duo that delights with a mix of indie pop, indie rock and pop punk. What began as a joint music project in their home town of Koblenz has developed into an impressive success story: Maël & Jonas achieved gold status with their single "I Swear to God", and their current album "Two Spoons Sugar" is a further development of their sound in a very tasteful indie-pop direction. The duo will be going on an album tour in spring, including a guest appearance at the Gibson Club. For their performance in Frankfurt, they will be accompanied by the Urban Club Band.
The artist clide will also be on stage. The young German-American describes his songs as a "diary set to music". Songs such as "Feelings" or "Broken Parts" convey his thoughts and feelings. Internationally, he has long been on the industry's radar: his EP "Parachutes" was featured in over 20 Spotify New Music Friday playlists and his songs are played all over the world. He is also active as a songwriter; among other things, he wrote "White Lies" for Tokio Hotel and "Never let me down" for VIZE.
