Summer in the City 2025 - Altin Gün

With their dizzying fusion of psychedelic rock, deep funk, synthpop and the rich, incredibly diverse traditions of Anatolian and Turkish folk music, Altın Gün have been captivating the world since their debut album "On" (2018). Hailing from Amsterdam, the band is known for their mesmerizing live performances, selling out headline tours in North America, Europe and the UK as well as performing at international festivals such as Coachella (US), Lowlands (NL), Primavera Sound (SP), Fuji Rock (JP) and Iceland Airwaves (IS). Their last album "Aşk" from 2023, which was recorded with old equipment and old techniques and interprets traditional Turkish folk tunes in a visionary way, marks a new beginning after the band members separated during the pandemic. Altın Gün have captured the infectious power and urgency of their driving live performances and exuberantly celebrate the Anatolian folk-rock sound of the 70s that characterized their first two albums.
