This cozy cider restaurant is perhaps the smallest in Frankfurt – located on the gallery of the Kleinmarkthalle.
It's cosy here on the gallery: green-painted walls, dark wood, you sit on long benches high above the hustle and bustle of the market stalls. Pia and Frank Winkler have created a pocket-sized cider bar in the Kleinmarkthalle – and a place where their guests feel right at home.
The pair have years of experience with this concept, and the restaurant in the Kleinmarkthalle is the little brother of their restaurants Daheim im Lorsbacher Thal and Daheim in der Affentorschänke. Even if the menu in this small branch is somewhat more compact, it is important to the Winklers that the basics of Hessian cuisine are represented: Handkäs with music, Frankfurter schnitzel and green sauce.
Everything is prepared on site in the small kitchen, and if you're in a shopping mood given the hustle and bustle of the market up here, you'll find jams, sauces and small dishes in jars to take away.
