This roasting manufactory brings only the best from the bean into the cups. The roastery in Sachsenhausen includes three cafés and a bakery.
If there is one place in Frankfurt where coffee lovers are in good hands, it's here – or rather this one. What began in 2008 as a student café at the western end of the Goethe University campus has now become a business that runs its own roastery in Sachsenhausen, a bakery in the Old Town and two other cafés in the New Old Town and Nordend.
Their recipe for success: freshly roasted, ecologically and socially sustainable coffee. They serve flat whites, cappuccinos, filter coffees and espressos in a simple, chic atmosphere without a lot of chi-chi – and in a central location: the Altstadtcafé is just across the street from the Struwwelpeter Museum. Of course, you can take all varieties home with you, and for coffee fans who want to get really into it, there are latte art seminars and barista courses in the in-house roastery;
