2.9 kilometres long and a busy mile for everything and everyone: Berger Strasse is the city's longest shopping street
"Berger" is Frankfurt's longest shopping street. It stretches from the beautiful Bethmannpark via Merianplatz with the Bornheim clock tower in a north-easterly direction to Nordend. You will find a pleasant mix of owner-managed shops, cafés, bars and restaurants along exactly 2.9 kilometres and in the side streets that branch off. Each section has its own character: if you fancy small boutiques and pretty cafés, the lower Berger Straße is the place for you. If you feel like going out and partying, the upper part offers you a colourful bouquet of options - from the Ebbelwoi cult pub "Apfelwein Solzer" to the elegant cocktail bar. In between: lots of good neighbourliness, a real Frankfurt feeling and even a shop for Hessian specialities in the Hessen-Kaufhaus. And for all those who want to go further afield from the colourful mile: If you follow Berger Strasse to the end and continue straight on through Seckbacher Huthpark, you will come directly to Lohrberg: Frankfurt's 185 metre high local mountain is the only vineyard in the city.
