Fancy a little dose of wanderlust? Nowhere else can you get it as easily as on the visitor terrace in Terminal 2 on Level 4: right next to the Food Plaza, you can watch the aeroplanes take off and land at Germany's largest airport. And you can do so from large wooden pontoons, interspersed with flower boxes. You can even sit in the shade of the pergola on some of them. You don't have to go through your own security check; the terrace is separated by a special fence so that nobody can throw anything onto the tarmac. However, there are special recesses for taking photos of aeroplanes taking off and landing. Entry is free of charge and possible up to 30 minutes before closing time.
