City District
A favourite neighbourhood for many Frankfurters: pretty little shops, creative concepts and cafés to make you feel at home.

There are only a handful of streets that make up the Brückenviertel, and yet you can easily spend hours walking around here. A colourful, lively neighbourhood has developed around Brückenstraße, Schulstraße and Wallstraße. At Gelateria Biziice, freshly squeezed fruit juices are turned into delicious sorbets, while the Apfelweinkontor opens up the whole world of apple wine, known as "Ebbelwei" or "Ebbelwoi" in Hessian. There is also a nice mix of small designer labels, galleries, wine bars, vintage shops, restaurants and the record shop on the corner.
For many Frankfurters, the "dribbdebach" bridge district in Sachsenhausen is the place where they take their guests to stroll and enjoy themselves. Incidentally, the neighbourhood takes its name from the oldest of all Frankfurt's bridges over the Main, which was first mentioned in a document 1000 years ago. Its name is simple and says it all: Old Bridge.
