The 'Freies Schauspiel Ensemble' has been a vital part of Frankfurt’s theatre scene since 1984.
Being a repertory theatre, the ensemble runs approximately seven different productions throughout the year. Three new productions are developed every season. Each performance deals with the fundamental issues of our time, no matter if it is a classical production, a contemporary drama, a self-written play, or the adaptation of a non-dramatic text for the stage. It is like watching real life in close-up: sensitive and fascinatingly authentic. As we work, we aim to understand and experience what it means to be a human being, which makes every play unique in its aesthetic appeal – innovation is part of our everyday life. Various panel discussions complement the performances, which turns the venue TITANIA into an open forum for all.
