The round fits the square. And this skyscraper rises 200 metres into the sky. No terrace in Frankfurt is higher.
There's nowhere higher in the city than here. The Main Tower measures 200 metres, and if you include the antenna, it's even 240 metres. The viewing terrace is 187 metres high and offers guests a dream panorama. The only drawback is that you can't see the Main Tower itself from here, although the design is a multi-award-winning masterpiece: a cuboid and a cylinder combine to form a harmonious ensemble. In addition to the 56 storeys that tower upwards here, there are also five underground storeys. The Main Tower was opened in 1999 after a construction period of just three years and was the first high-rise building in Europe with a fully glazed façade. A fine-dining restaurant is located directly on the terrace, just two storeys above the fitness studio. The Hessische Landesbank exhibits its art collection in the Main Tower, but above all, of course, there is office space here, totalling more than 50,000 square metres. And if you'd rather take the stairs than the lift, there are 1090 steps in total.
