Performing Arts Theatre
Do you fancy theatre, music or cabaret in a very special setting? This theatre has its stage in a former cider tavern with history.

Even though the Stalburg Theatre, founded at the end of the 1990s, is comparatively young, it still breathes the spirit of history. This is because it is based in the dance hall of a 150-year-old cider tavern. The building complex itself dates back to the 15th century and was once the country residence of a Frankfurt patrician named Claus Stalburg – the city's richest citizen at the time. Centuries later, the journalist Michael Herl created a stage that has been an integral part of Frankfurt's cultural life ever since.
The programme includes theatre performances, cabaret and music, and many of the plays are in-house productions. The open-air theatre "Stoffel" ("Stalburg Theater offen Luft"), which is held every summer in Günthersburgpark, is particularly popular.
