The Weltkulturen Museum, housed in three Wilhelminian-style villas on the Museumsufer, is a central location for interdisciplinary cooperation.

The museum has a collection of around 67,000 objects from all continents and island states as well as more than 100,000 ethnographic photographs and films and a public library with 50,000 international books and magazines.
