Culture for Everyone

A city of culture

Culture for Everyone

Since the establishment of the Museum Embankment, this motto has shaped the colourful Frankfurt cultural landscape, with its museums, theatres, concert halls, a vibrant creative scene and cultural events. The entire city turns into a stage when music, theatre and movies are on show in Frankfurt's parks and gardens, on the banks of the River Main and even on the city's rooftops. The city's literary scene is equally impressive, featuring the Frankfurt Book Fair and the accompanying “Open Books” reading festival,. At the Goethe-House, meanwhile, you have the chance to immerse yourself in the world of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Frankfurt's favourite son and Germany's most celebrated poet and author.
