Best location, best cuisine: at the villa in the diplomatic quarter, you can enjoy refined menus in a stylish ambience. Particularly popular: a table in the kitchen.

Villa Merton is definitely a good address: the elegant building, which the Jewish manufacturer and politician Richard Merton had built for himself and his family in 1927, is located in the diplomatic quarter not far from Frankfurt's Palmengarten. Merton sold the villa to the city of Frankfurt in 1953 – on the condition that it be used as a place of international understanding. This is not only done by the Union International Club, which has its headquarters here. A sense of enjoyment can also bring people together and the excellent restaurant's fan base is thoroughly international. The ambience is stylish, in the former living rooms of the Merton family you sit under stucco ceilings, dark wallpaper creates a warm atmosphere. The cuisine is starred, and from Tuesday to Saturday there are two seven-course menus to choose from, from which you can put together your own sequence – or you can select your dish from the bistro menu. A coveted extra are the seats at the "Chef's Table" in the restaurant's kitchen, which can be booked for two to six people. There you can enjoy a six-course menu with wine accompaniment and watch the top chefs at work.
