Legendary for more than 70 years: Louis Armstrong performed in the Jazzkeller. To this day 
the greats of the scene are celebrated here as well as newcomers.
As the first private jazz club in the whole of Europe, the Kellerclub is still considered one of the top jazz venues in Germany. Founded by trumpeter Karl "Carlo" Bohländer in 1952 under the name 
"domicile du jazz", it quickly achieved international fame. 
Well-known musicians such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie performed here, as did
